Consistency is Key

It’s ironic, how consistently we talk to you about consistency – but it matters! Tracy has always stood by Ovid’s quote “dripping water hollows out stone, not through force but through persistence” and we want to encourage you to not to just think like this, but live like this.

You all want results in your health goals. You do not want to waste your time. Consistency is like watering a plant. You don’t see it grow every day, but if you keep showing up with small, steady care, one day you realize it’s transformed. Skip too many days, and all that progress quietly withers.

In practical terms, what does consistency realistically look like. Let’s break it down:

Meet our Mover Leslie!

We are thrilled this incredible lady has allowed us to give her a shout out in this week’s newsletter. Anyone who frequents our free Move Daily Hustle Facebook community will know her – this is Leslie. Leslie is the embodiment of consistency and living life to the full.

Leslie is in her late 60s and her “why” is that she always wants to be fit and active to make the most of her time with her grandchildren. However, what makes Leslie extra special and what we at Move Daily most admire, is how Leslie has made her health a consistent non negotiable for many, many years. Leslie still lives her life and enjoys it to the full, but peppered throughout it is always the big-hitters that will really swing the needle to great health and longevity. For Leslie, there is no alternative – it is simply part of who she is.

“It was several years ago that I realized that I had to make some serious changes to improve my health. It was a lightbulb moment. Our granddaughter would have sleepovers at our house and I had no upper body strength to pick her up if she fell. I had a friend who was fairly well versed in fitness and diet, so she helped me to get started. It was nothing crazy…cleaner eating, not a lot less processed food, several workouts a week of cardio and strength, strength training and a lot of walking. I lost 50 pounds and I have sustained this .The most important thing I learned is that motivation waxes and wanes, but being consistent and committed to do what needs to be done got me through and still gets me through. It is now a habit like brushing my teeth.”
