From Vacation Mode to Beast Mode

We all love a break – sun, slower days, a little extra indulgence. But coming home often brings that “uh oh” moment when clothes feel snug, energy feels low, and your routine feels like its well and truly been on hold. If you’re nodding along, you’re not alone. The good news? A short reset is all it takes to shake off vacation mode and feel like yourself again.

Here are some simple ways to get back on track right now:

1. Don’t punish, reset. Skip the guilt-trip workouts and crash diets. Instead, focus on consistent, balanced meals and movement that you enjoy. Your body will recalibrate quickly.

2. Hydration first. Travel, heat, and wine often leave you more dehydrated than you think. Start your day with water before diving back into coffee.

3. Prioritize protein. Prioritize protein. Building muscle as we age means giving your body the raw materials it needs. Aim for a quality protein source at every meal to support recovery, steady blood sugar, and keep you feeling satisfied.

4. Move Daily (but start simple). Even a 20-minute walk helps re-establish rhythm. Layer in some workouts once the habit is set again.
