The Power of Specifics for Real Success
If you’ve ever found yourself “doing all the things” but still not getting the results you want, you’re not alone. When it comes to nutrition, fitness, and wellness, it’s easy to fall into the trap of more is better. More supplements, more workouts, more hacks, more wellness trends.
But here’s the truth: progress doesn’t come from doing more, it comes from doing the right things, consistently.
Let’s break this down:
- Want to improve your cardiovascular fitness and increase VO₂ max? Then zone 2 cardio, intervals, and progressive aerobic overload are where your focus needs to be. Walking more won’t hurt, but it won’t get you there on its own.
- Want to build lean muscle and change your body composition? Lifting weights that are actually heavy enough where your last 2 reps feel challenging, and getting enough daily protein (at least 1.2-1.6g per kg of body weight – more if you’d like) are non-negotiables.
- Want to reduce menopausal belly fat? Then energy balance, strength training, and managing blood sugar need to take the front seat not endless abs circuits or skipping meals.
Your energy is precious. Especially in this season of life, with careers, families, changing hormones, and more demanding recovery needs – we can’t afford to waste effort on scattered strategies that don’t serve our goals. Instead, we need focused intention.
Ask yourself this:
✨ What’s my primary goal right now?
✨ What are the 1–3 specific actions that directly support that goal?
✨ What am I doing out of habit, noise, or guilt, that doesn’t really move the needle?
The magic happens when you swap scattered effort for strategic effort. Let’s stop diluting our energy with generic wellness habits and start applying targeted strategies that give you real return. Not because you need to work harder but because you deserve for your efforts to actually work.
