30 SOLID – Get ready to get SOLID in just 30 days! November 1-30, 2023

The Kedging Trick
Many years ago I read the book, “Younger Next Year” by Chris Crowley and Henry Lodge. They talked about the kedging trick which goes something like this:
In calm seas, sailboats sometimes need to resort to kedging to get out of trouble. A kedge (anchor) would be loaded into a long boat and rowed 1/2 a mile away. They would drop the anchor, then everyone back on the big sailboat, would pull like mad on the line, literally hauling the big sailboat to the anchor. They’d do it again and again until they got to where they needed to go. They did this to avoid a tide that would inevitably pull them into shore.
Crawley writes, “Kedging then, is climbing out of the ordinary, setting a goal and working like crazy to get there. To save yourself. You have to do a little kedging now and then to keep yourself motivated.”
This might look like setting an adventure goal this year (a hike, a new sport, a race), and using the month of November and our 30 SOLID challenge to really get ready for it. It’s the dangling carrot that can stir us up out of the ordinary, and into doing something different and extraordinary!

Here’s what’s included:

30 SOLID challenge chart. There are 5 specific things that we want you to do daily throughout the month. You’ll receive a checklist where you can mark off your progress!
- Nutrition -you’ll choose a nutrition strategy to follow for the month. There will be lots of coaching calls on this so you can choose one that is sustainable for you.
- Track Fiber -you’ll set and then track your daily fiber intake
- Self care -you’ll get to choose a daily self care activity
- Move your body -you’ll be challenged to do one structured workout per day, on the programs provided for you (2 rest days/week allotted) as well as getting outdoors for a minimum of 15 minutes per day.
- Learn -listen to a podcast, read, or listen to one of our coaching calls per day

Weekly workout schedule of YouTube videos. You can choose the Advanced FAT LOSS STREAM, the Advanced STRENGTH STREAM or the BEGINNER STREAM. A level for everyone. You’ll receive all 3 streams so if you feel you want to switch it up and go between the streams, you can do so. The Advanced Strength and Fat Loss Streams have workouts between 30-60 minutes, The Beginner Stream has workouts all around the 30 minute mark.

A private Facebook group, just for this challenge. It will be a great place to encourage each other, ask questions, share your thoughts and pick up idea’s. Our Move Daily Guide, Kim, will also be on hand to give you all the support you need.
- Weekly coaching in your fitness, wellness and nutrition. All the coaching is done inside a private FB group and then also sent to you in your weekly email. If you miss it live, it will be recorded and shared to the FB group so you can watch later.
- All workout schedules and coaching calls during the month, are yours to keep forever.

The workouts will be a compilation of my Youtube workouts, but written in a cohesive weekly schedule to help you reach your targets. There will also be many exclusive workouts included in these schedules not available to the public. All of the weekly workout schedules are yours to keep forever.
A large portion of this challenge is run through the private Facebook group. Tracy does all of the live coaching calls on that platform. All of the coaching is recorded and sent out in the subsequent week’s email in the event that you cannot attend the live. There are daily posts, challenges and of course encouragement through the Facebook group and it is therefore recommended that you have a Facebook account for this 30SOLID Challenge.
