It’s the end of summer and I wanted to have one last family bbq before we all launch into our busy year ahead! Every September I host a challenge called Sober September and in it, participants choose a “vice” that they willingly go without for the whole month. For some it’s alcohol, but for many it’s chocolate and refined sugar! My sister chose refined sugar and when I invited her and her husband to the bbq I joked that “I guess I won’t be making dessert tonight!” But who cannot have dessert?!

This was the perfect choice! Fresh seasonal fruit, grilled and caramelized to perfection. Then topped with plain Greek yogurt, sweetened with a bit of pure maple syrup (yes, this is a sweetener, but it’s real and from nature, not refined like table sugar) and dusted with cinnamon. Honestly, you wouldn’t even need the maple syrup because the peaches were sweet enough on their own.

Enjoy!
