Basic Summary of each class:

MOBILITY TESTS

This video provides a series of mobility tests for the hips, shoulders, ankles, and thoracic spine. The tests are aimed at determining the flexibility and range of motion in each area. I suggest practicing these tests regularly to track progress and improve mobility. This will be repeated at the end of the month to see how much you’ve improved!

FOAM ROLLING BACK, LEGS, GLUTES

The video demonstrates a foam rolling routine for the middle back, legs, and glutes. Foam rolling helps increase flexibility and malleability of the fascia by providing pressure to the cells and releasing hydration. The routine includes rolling the middle back, quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves, and IT bands.

LOWER BODY MOBILITY

This video is a lower body mobility workout that focuses on improving squat range of motion and hip flexibility through exercises like squats, 90/90 stretches, and hip flexor stretches. I provide modifications for those who struggle with certain movements and encourage progress over time.

DYNAMIC STRETCHING

The video demonstrates various dynamic stretching exercises including leg swings, hip swings, arm circles, and shoulder mobility exercises to warm up the body and improve flexibility. It emphasizes maintaining core engagement and proper form throughout the movements.

DYNAMIC NEUROMUSCULAR FACILITATION

This video is a DNS flow practice session that focuses on dynamic and neuromuscular stabilization to improve mobility by incorporating movements similar to those of babies and toddlers. I will demonstrate various exercises that target the neck, core, hips, and overall body strength and flexibility. Regular practice can help regain lost mobility and improve overall functional movement patterns. We will practice this particular flow each week in this program.

UPPER BODY FOAM ROLLING

This video is a foam rolling session focusing on the chest, upper back, and lats. I demonstrate various positions to target these muscles using a foam roller. The exercises aim to relax and hydrate tight muscles in these areas.

UPPER BODY STRETCHING

In this video, I focus on upper body dynamic stretching with exercises for the arms, shoulders, sides, and neck. I demonstrate various movements such as arm circles, shoulder rolls, and neck stretches. These exercises help increase flexibility and prepare the upper body for physical activity.

UPPER BODY MOBILITY

This video is an upper body mobility workout that includes exercises for the back, shoulders, and wrists. It incorporates stretching and movement against a wall as well as on the ground, targeting different muscle groups and improving overall flexibility. I will be guiding you through a series of exercises to enhance mobility and release tension in the upper body.

DIAGONAL JUMP TRAINING

In this video, I demonstrate diagonal jump training to improve stability and engage core and leg muscles for preventing falls. The workout includes warm-up exercises, step tapping in a diagonal pattern, adding jumps, and a cool-down session with stretches. The training focuses on strengthening muscles to maintain balance and prevent injury.

CORE STRENGTHENING

In this 14-minute core strengthening workout, I focus on the abdominal wall muscles using a Swiss ball for added intensity. The workout includes exercises like dead bugs, bird dogs, lateral bear crawls, and a banana boat hold. The session ends with stretching and relaxation exercises.

STABILITY AND BALANCE

This video focuses on balance and stability training, emphasizing the importance of recruiting core and stabilizer muscles to prevent falls and injuries. It demonstrates various exercises including walking front and back, diagonal steps, ice skater movements, single leg balances, and using a Swiss ball for added instability. These exercises aim to improve stability, control, and proprioception.

PROPRIOCEPTIVE NEUROMUSCULAR FACILITATION

This video is a session of PNF stretching, which helps increase flexibility in the hamstrings, glutes, and pec muscles. I demonstrate various stretches and explain how to properly perform them to maximize results. Following these PNF stretching exercises can help improve overall flexibility and make you more limber.

FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT PATTERNS WITH COACH LOCURTO

The video discusses functional movement patterns that are essential for aging individuals to maintain their ability to move well. It demonstrates various exercises and techniques to improve mobility and strength, such as getting up off the floor and practicing Turkish get-ups. The goal is to encourage individuals to explore and integrate these patterns into their regular routines to prevent loss of movement capacity as they age.
